FAQs

There’s a lot of wacky terminology flying around on our website – everything from “divestment” to “stranded assets” and the “carbon bubble”. You’re also probably wondering how our campaign ties in with other groups and movements!

Fear not – here are some FAQs to clear things up! We’ve split the FAQs into 3 sections to simplify things a bit…

Zero Carbon – Find out who we are, what we want, and why we think we can achieve it!

Divestment – We talk about it a lot… but what actually is divestment? Get a brief summary here, and find out why it really works

Cambridge – What would divestment look like at Cambridge University?

But first – the most important question!!!

How can I get involved with Zero Carbon in Cambridge?

Being a fairly new society, we are always on the lookout for new passionate members. Now is the perfect time to join us – our campaign is picking up momentum and things are about to get exciting!

Make sure you join our Facebook group “Zero Carbon Campaign Group” to find out more about meetings and how you can get involved.

We hold regular campaign meetings – these are normally on Saturday afternoons, and there will be food! Anybody is welcome to come along, it really doesn’t matter if you haven’t been to a meeting before or if you have no idea what divestment is.

We know that Cambridge can be a hectic place, so don’t worry if you can’t commit much time! The more people we have involved in our campaign, the better – there will always be something you can do to help out.

If you have any questions about Zero Carbon, or want to find out more about how you could get involved, please feel free to get in touch with us via our Contact details.
